First Things First

Let’s get some details out of the way. You’ll need to know a few things before you begin to read my travel log.

1. I went on this trip with my friend, Kelly. We met at BYU 10 years ago. She did not like me at first. She said I was too pretty to like. I think she needed glasses.

2. Kelly and I are both single and perfectly content with our station in life. And we both like men. Enough said.

3. Since neither one of us wanted the adventure of driving on the other side of the road, we went with a tour group. Yes, that means old people. I have lots of fun old people stories. The old people really did make the trip great.

4. The tour company was Trafalgar.

5. I HATE the Atlanta airport. I have never had a good experience there.

6. I have a crush on Elder Bednar. I know, a bit sacrilegious, but true.

7. My postings will be pretty detailed. I’m not sure if I’ll actually record my trip anywhere else, other than my scrapbook, and I don’t want to forget anything that happened.

8. Because some of the details may not be of interest to you, I will not be offended if you don’t read them all.

9. You may want to refer back to this post as you read. Some of these details will be important.

Get ready, the excitement is about to begin!

Red Shoes

I bought these shoes yesterday. Aren't they cute?

I wore them to work today and I stepped on a crack in the sidewalk. Now my cute red shoes have a scratch on the heel. Not cool.
Guess I'll be getting the red nail polish out tonight.

I'm Back!

I'm home. I got in about midnight on Sunday.

I'll share all the details of my trip, with pictures, soon. I just have to get used to reality again.

See you in 10 days!

Happy Birthday, Chrissy!

It's my brother's birthday today. The big 22. I can't find a picture of him on my computer, so enjoy this picture of his head cropped out of another picture. Here's to the best year yet!

Birthday Month

Yes, that's right, I'm celebrating birthday month. Now, some may think this is a bit excessive, especially since I'll be turning 31 and not 5. However, I REFUSED to celebrate my birthday last year (30 was just a little too much for me to handle), so this year I've decided to celebrate birthday month.

Here is a list of things I'm going to be doing to celebrate birthday month:

1. Going to the Tower of London. I cannot wait to meet some ghosts! You know, that's not something you do everyday. (Well, maybe some of you do, but it's a rare occurence for me.)

2. Visiting St. Andrew's Golf Course. This is all to make my brothers jealous. Yes, making your siblings jealous is part of any good celebration.

3. Buying a replica of the Queen's tiara. I'm going to need a tiara if I'm going to wear one all day on my birthday.

4. Eating one thing that I know I shouldn't everyday. This morning, I started my day off with Peanut M & Ms. Not an entire bag, so I'm not a total glutton yet.

5. Attending a new ward. This is a pretty big change for me. But I'm ready. And it's all part of birthday month.

6. Going to October Fest at Snowbird.

7. Riding the tram/ski lift to look at autumn leaves.

This is the list so far. I'm sure as the month goes on that it will grow. But since a good chunk of the month will be spent in Europe, this little list will grow without me even knowing it. Just imagine all the things I can do in Europe to celebrate birthday month! I may even throw a hot guy with an accent into the mix!

I am taking one day off from birthday month. There will be no birthday celebrations on Sept. 21. This is Angie's wedding day and my gift to her is to let her have the entire day ! (I'm so nice!)

Labor Day Fun

I love Labor Day! I claim it as my favorite holiday. (Why not, nobody else does.) I got a sunburn, watched a parade, went to a high school football game, saw some spectacular fireworks, and had a sleepover with my nephew. Ahh, good times. But the highlight of the weekend came last night when my brother got to throw the first pitch out at the Orem Owlz baseball game.

My brother is the biggest sports fan I know. This was a dream come true for him.

I was standing close to the field to take a picture of the pitch, but for some reason, I totally missed him throwing the ball! I have no idea how that happened. I turned to my other brother standing next to me and said, "When does K throw the pitch?" C said, "He just did." I cannot believe I missed the pitch. But here is a picture after the fact.

Good job, K! And, the Owlz won 6-5. I think it was because K gave the team good luck with his opening pitch.
